Michael Grieve
Photographer & Founder/Director
Is the founder and director of Werkstatt Berlin, and currently based in Berlin and Athens. He is a photographer, writer, lecturer and director/founder of ArtFotoMode. He graduated with an MA in Photographic Studies from the University of Westminster in 1997. He has been a photographer commissioned for magazines and publications internationally and represented by Agence VU in Paris. In 2010 he became the deputy editor of 1000 Words Contemporary Photography Magazine. Since 2010 he has been a senior lecturer at Nottingham Trent University in the UK (2010-13), a lecturer at Akademia Fotografii in Warsaw/Krakow (2013-14), a lecturer at the University of Art and Design in Berlin (2014-16) and a lecturer at Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin (2018-22). He is a regular writer for the British Journal of Photography and 1000 Words Contemporary Photography magazine. He continues to work on personal documentary photography projects.
