FORMATIVE – (Rethinking) Portfolio Reviews – is a new, public portfolio review format in Berlin that brings together photographers, renowned experts, and an engaged audience. It fosters artistic development, professional exchange, and visibility through open dialogue and constructive feedback in a public setting.

For this edition, we are proud to welcome Rebecca Wilton ( @rebecca.wilton ) and Tobias Laukemper ( @tobias.laukemper ) as our expert reviewers.

Rebecca Wilton lives and works in Berlin and has been Head of Photography at Distanz Verlag since 2023. Previously, she was an editor at Camera Austria International. Since 2020, Wilton has been part of the collective Lighting the Archive (online).

Tobias Laukemper is a freelance Visual Director based in Berlin. He develops publication concepts with a social and cultural focus (for DIE ZEIT, brand eins, tazFUTURZWEI) and also works as a curator (herspective@EMOP, Fototreff Berlin e.V.) and systemic consultant in the cultural sector.
